At my desk, I make sure to surround myself with things that give me a boost - photos and magazine images of what brings me joy, what inspires me. For example, on the wall that I face while on my computer, I have a newspaper article about Michelle Obama speaking to young people in the schools; a winning horse jockey who never made it past the 8th grade; Ellen DeGenerous surrounded by portraits people have done of her; Chris Rock as a teenager. I also like to keep fresh flowers right by me. Right now, it's some sunflowers.
